The workshop features Expara’s award-winning Venture Financing and Negotiation exercise. The exercise is a 5-hours role-playing game that teaches about the concept and art of negotiation which takes place between the entrepreneurs and investors. The participants play roles of either entrepreneurs or investors and negotiate on key deal terms (company valuation, investment required, amount of equity offered and control of the company) across 5 different funding rounds. Both parties have to derive what is important to the other party and devise negotiation strategies that result preferably in win-win solutions.
